It is pretty neat that someone decided to do a swap like that. It really demonstrates that everyone loves the 2JZ, but sometimes that engine is much too popular for all the wrong reasons. But why not get a Supra or SC3? or if they wanted a sedan then the GS3TT? Maybe they wanted Toyota reliability and BMW exhilaration in one package?

I don't find anything wrong with this engine swap or any other engine swap. I think it takes a talented and creative person to make it work. Heck, I would love to drive a Prius with a LS1 (if they can cram it in, it would be the ultimate sleeper car).
I know people were pissed off (on both sides) with the Skyline engine powered classic mustang in the Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. People get mad because they have too much pride in the vehicle, and if you have too much pride, you get cocky.

I took the picture it was at the b/s shop to put in the hood scoops for better cooling i guess it was running a little hot. When I saw the intercooler I asked the shop what does he have in there and I got surprised like all you guys. You never know what people have in there cars anymore, 2j mania is running wild.

Juniorcool is new to this board, but he took the pix while working.
One of the guys on this board asked more info about it, I guess this car could be found on the bimmerboards...The more popular of them is bimmerforums.com

What's wrong with it?
The car now has a more reliable motor capable of gobs of power if so desired. It's the epitomy of modding imo. To change motors competely! That's modding!
My father-n-law has a friend who put a chevy small block into an sc300 pushing 400+ hp. I hear that it runs sweet and is easy to maintain. That's modding right there!
