Mazda to debut new hydrogen hybrid vehicle at Tokyo Motor Show
Hiroshima, Japan - Mazda has announced that it will debut the all-new Mazda Atenza, Taiki concept car, Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid and a series of future-oriented powertrains at the 40th Tokyo Motor Show later this month.
The all-new Atenza, sold here as the Mazda6, was premiered at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The company will showcase a sportier and more distinct model for the first time at the Tokyo show. The Taiki continues the evolution of the company's "Nagare" design theme and is the fourth in a series of concept vehicles based on the premise; it uses a next-generation rotary engine.
The Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid is based on the Premacy, known as the Mazda5 in North America, and is equipped with a transverse hydrogen rotary engine with hydrogen/gasoline dual-fuel system. The company plans to commence leasing of the vehicle in 2008.

yeah that was the point I was getting at lol. That a Hydrogen Hybrid would get better mpg than a standard hydrogen ICE.
I can't remember if all fuel cells are considered hybrids or not.
