I think it was edmonds that I read as tested price of the car they used was 90kish. Kinda disheartening... And the actual displacement is around 6L, they just kept 63 as a heritage thing.

NO THANKS.
Hm.....when I hear Japanese way and power I think high RPM and no torque. Why add turbos? You can turbo a big displacement engine as well. You can only do so much to a smaller displacement engine before it hits a wall. Benz is not always trying to squeeze out crazy horsepower, their engines are quite restricted. Their most powerful engine went to Zonda or some other exotic company. Its a horsepower battle anyways. The Nissan Altimas, Camrys, Accords and other family sedans are putting out 268+hp and running the 1/4 in 14.xx seconds.

Little known fact, Mercedes is the company with the most cars in the 500+hp club due to their AMG lineup.

The AMG lineup went from NA to FI and then back to NA later deciding on which was best NA. (ie. C43, C32, C55, C63). Mercedes is a status symbol, why would the buyers say they want to buy a V6 when their neighbor has the same car but in V8 even if the power output was the same. Competition also plays a role. The E46 M3 was V6, but changed to a V8 for its upcoming model. The B5 S4 was biturbo but changed to a V8 for the B6 chassis. The C32 AMG went from a supercharged V6 to a V8.

I am a BMW fan at heart, so BMW is finally getting it right with a Sedan M3 version for those of us that need 4 doors. This new AMG C class looks more classy, where the BMW looks more sporty. It's a great time to be in the market for these rocket cars.

Like the power output, but think its WAY ugly.
I'll take the M3 Seize style:

It does look like a dodge(chrysler) Avenger on the front end. I don't like the rear of it either.

PS I own a 06 c-class

Wow! I never saw it from that angle.....I guess Lexus wasn't the only one that had a problem fitting a V8 in there flagship sport sedan. Looking at it now I really can say that the C63 has it made from several angles (the rear is growing on me) and the IS-F look terrible from the front as well. My 0.02.

Do you have a link to that article? I just browsed through an edmunds review of the C63 and there was no mention of price. Motortrend's review has an estimated base price of $63k. Somehow I don't think a C class will have an additional 30k worth of options.

I seriously doubt that a C63 will be priced at $90k+. For that you can pick up an E63 with p/30 package and p2.You could get a 08' M5 for that price, as well.
