Okay, okay. I think a lot of people here have a lot of opinions about the RX-8, so here is one from someone who actually owns one.
I have an '06 RX-8 and love it. It's a great driver's car and everyone who owns one truly enjoys it. A few things you should know about the RX-8 if you are seriously considering one.
1. It doesn't eat oil like most people think. Yes, you have to put a little oil every couple of fill ups, but the engine was designed to burn a little oil. Not a big deal, just check your oil every couple of weeks and add a little oil if it needs it. If this is too much for you, then stop here and get the IS.
2. Get a "06 or new. It has most of the bugs worked out since the 2004 release. If you have to get an earlier model, make sure the owner has had all of the recalls done. Good thing about the '06 is the keyless entry and start. GT package all the way.
3. It's a cool little car you don't see everywhere. It currently hasn't been outdated like the IS300.
4. Gas mileage is pretty lousy. That's my only complaint about the car. Believe it or not, my V8 SC400 got better mileage. If you do a lot of commuting in city driving, this might be an important issue to consider.
If you have any questions about the RX-8, feel free to PM me. I'm always up for talkin' about cars.

There aren't as mature as the guys here on Club Lexus, but they're a fun bunch nonetheless.

I love the white RX-8s! Thanks for the responses. For some reason, I was thinking the IS300 didn't get all the great of gas mileage...not sure on that though. I guess it will just come down to driving preference!
