Whats even more amazing is the owner knows nothing about the car. Look at the comments. He thought it had 420hp stock....

Does it matter that it is the quicksilver edition? Maybe a bigger chip or something?

I wonder if these will ever reach a level where it is like the 2000 GT. This will be interesting to see what it sells for.

I did some basic research on the "Quicksilver" edition and it doesn't exist as far as I know it was just a "special" color.. I think the guy is full of it... then again I am not a supra "expert".

The whole thing with the "Quicksilver Edition" is that it was a special color that was made... Not really an edition, but more like a limited production. It's the same thing with the Royal Sapphire Pearl. Those are the two colors that bring in the premiums for the color scarceness. It's almost like the Spectra Blue Mica thing on the GS4. They made it for a few years in limited quantities which in turn makes them "rare."

As for the posting itself... there are tons of errors which makes me think that it's possible that it might be yet ANOTHER eBay scam https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=312285... but whatever... One thing, it's definitely not the last one to roll off the assembly line as they continued the production until 2002. This MIGHT be the last one that was imported to the US, but definitely not the last one to come off the line.

From what I understood, the first and last one's to roll off the assembly lines are stashed in the Toyota museum. Where they hold cars like the GT-1 and some of the rarest Toyota's ever made.

That car is a legend in the owner's own mind.

the one thing Id really be scared of is the coolant passages rusting since the block is iron, being it only has 3221 miles over 10 years

$39.9k. Might as well store that sucker as a collectible.

The only MKIV special editions that I'm aware of are Premier and Anniversary. Premier was first year (1993) and Anniversary was 1997.
