It's the 1 year anniversary for my GS and I have logged a very satisfying 19.5k miles on it. It's been incredibly reliable, it has been a great old friend, it has performed all that I have asked of it and more. 1 annoying upper right dash rattle (not cold enough yet but I'm sure it will be there), 1 broken trim piece under the car in front of on rear wheel, new PS2s because of tire noise, 4 wheel alignment and 4 oil changes. Pretty uneventful and I have no regrets! Sadly, I dropped the car off today and I am GS-less at the moment.
Now for the good news.......
I picked up my new '08 997 Turbo from Carlsen Porsche today, worked with Tom Yamamoto and he was awesome to deal with over the phone.
This is the first time I have ever seen meteor grey and I have to say that it exceeded all expectations. Online pics do not do this color justice! Every single online photo I saw made the color look like it had taupe in it. It does not, it's just a really nice dark metallic grey. My first Turbo car EVER and I am so hooked that I can't imagine going back. I have driven a Turbo Porsche once in my life and it was a 997TT about a week ago when I seriously started my search. I kept it under 4k RPMs and did not want to go WOT but man oh man!!!!!!!! Even with some conservative spurts, I can tell this is going to be a blast.
CLA - Steering Wheel in Alcantara
431 - 3-Spoke Str Whl Multifctn lthr
970 - Bicolor Interior Instructions
810 - Floor Mats in Interior Color
692 - Remote CD Changer (6 Disc)
640 - Sport Chrono Package Turbo
342 - Heated Front Seats
CNE - Spoiler Lip Painted
X69 - Door Entry Guards in Carbon
XSC - Porsche Crest in Headrest
XMJ - Rear Center Console - Carbon
XAJ - Standard Rocker Panels Painted

CNG - Lower Part of Rear Apron Pnted

The car is covered in bugs so I will post a couple of night pics for now but I absolutely love this car!

BTW, I only dropped off my GS because the dealership is about 250 miles from my home. I drove the turbo home and they are going to ship my GS back to me.
I love my GS, I have no intentions of getting rid of it because there is no other car out there that I would rather have as a daily driver.

very nice 2thfixr and congrats. Any particular reason you went w/ the coupe and not the new 997 Turbo Cab? Or just b/c you wanted it right away? A guy in our local chapter has one (AS though) and loves it - I am quite envious of (his and your) beautiful machines...
