I sold the GS! ~~> 2007 VW GTI **pics**
Guys, i honestly thought I would NEVER sell the GS. This had been my dream car since it came out in 1998.
I've been driving the GS only in nice weather & i have a '98 I30 that I've been using for the rest of the days. It seemed to be spending most of its time in the garage. Having 2 cars finally seemed to take its toll on me. I started a thread about this earlier this summer, but deep down I thought i would never pull the trigger:

Long story short, I traded in my '02 GS430 with 70k miles (i'll be selling the i30 as well) for a 2007 VW GTI 4 door blk/blk leather with the DSG. It's got: 19" RS4 rims, lowered on H&R Sport Springs, Milltek Sport Exhaust & chrome mirror covers. I bought it certified with 5k miles, so I get the 4/50k bumper to bumper, plus another 2/24k when that is up. (the warranty is what ultimately sold me). It's quick, practical, handles like it's on rails and gets GREAT gas mileage to boot! All i gotta buy now is a nice set of winter rims/tires and i'm all set for the snow!
I've made some good friends in the Chicago forums & I'll still be on CL all the time. This is by far the classiest and most informative forum i've ever seen. Still 2 more Lexuses in the family!
George
PS - the pics don't show the tint I put on it today... 20% rear / 35% up the sides.

It wasn't an easy decision guys. I have been a Lexus fan (and more specifically, a GS fan) for a VERY long time. This was a well thought out & practical decision for me. I gave up mediocre gas mileage, insurance, maintenance, plates, etc...for the GS and the I30 - for ONE car that is solid, quick, practical, gets phenomenal gas mileage & has a bumper to bumper warranty for the next 6 years. When I sell the I30, i'll break even on the whole deal. What more could I ask for?

The out-the-door price for the GTI was $27k. I gave my GS and $5k. The Infiniti is a '98 and I should be able to get $5k for it. I put it up for sale this week.
