Default Want To Buy : New Gtr Or Used Ferrari ???

OK everyone... what would you get ???

(1) Brand new Nissan Skyline GTR
OR
(2) Ferrari 360 Modena coupe

OK..... Based on my "little research", Skyline MSRP is "low $70,000s" *autoweek magazine shown. BUT every Nissan dealer I called, they are adding $20,000 mark up. Thus, I'm paying about $90,000 or so....

OR..... Less than $100,000, I can find a nice low mileage 360 Modena.

What would you pick ???

Thanks everyone.....

also depends on your budget for maintenance too
maintenance and repair on a ferrari is really expensive compared to GTR

Used GT-R. Wait a bit.

Ferrari maintenance bills will kill you unless you're rich.

I'd wait for that Evo or V-Spec version that the magazines are talking about.

I think if you are thinking about spending $100K on a car you are probably rich Anyway, if I could afford it I'd get the Ferrari. I really like the GTR, but I'd choose a comparable mid engine exotic any day provided I had the money. However, the 360 Modena is the oldest model I'd get. I like the F355 as well, but those are really high maintenance.

There is no way I'd pick a Nissan over a Ferrari. Even if that Nissan has the letters GTR after it.

Are 360 Modena coupes being had for under $100k? My friend looked into it fairly recently and did not have such luck finding at that price. Best he found was around $120k... I am with most here, for everyday the GT-R seems like it would be more "practical" and I think in the long run the Ferrari would be more of a headache. Besides, when you DO pull up next to someone in a 360 Modena, you have the satisfaction of knowing that you can smoke him, spend less time in the shop (hopefully), get more out of your car for less money, all while having a back seat!

Why would you ever pay $20k markup?

I'd get the GT-R over a used Ferrari, but only at a good price.
