Although the price of both cars have not been announced yet, their presumed price difference is not that much, around $10,000. If 335i and G35 could be considered the same class even there is a $10,000 price difference, GTR and M3 could definitely be considered the same price range. Now, both cars are all new for 2008/2009, both are two door with four seats, high performance sports car which could arguably be the fastest car in their respective companies with 400+ horsepower. If it is legitimate for people to consider a 6.2L V8 4 door C63 AMG and a 4.0L V8 2 door M3 to be the same class, then why not a 2 door 3.8L TT GT-R? If it is okay to consider a AWD RS4 and a RWD M3 to be the same class, then why not a AWD GT-R?I don't see why I can't compare them.

I can't tell you how many "I just priced an "x" out and it's "y" less expensive than "z" car posts" I've read, but I still don't know how anyone comes up with a 10k diff between the G37 and 335i. If you comparably equip them you're lucky to get a 6k diff; moderately equipped it's under $4k. Here in Canuckistan they are less then $2k apart.
