right, because we all know that hp is THE most important thing when it comes to vehicles in that class and that BMW, Audi, MB, and Lexus just didn't have the technology to create a 600 hp engine

tell me, what other reasons do you have than they couldn't compete with any other department so they had to put as much hp into that car as possible.

Buddy...this car is created by the same folks that gave us the superb Corvette C6 Z06. Chassis dynamics will not be a problem on the new CTS-V for sure. Heck, it will improve on the current models superb handeling. I've driven the current CTS-V at a few GM driving events and let me tell you. This ain't our daddy's caddy. Perhaps you need to see the current CTS-V on the track against an Audi S4

12.3 116mph, wowsers. I can't wait to see the IS-F in this same comparison; sounds like it'll be a wild card for sure.

Why are we comparing the Corvette to these cars? Apples to oranges.

If you want to compare the Corvette to something, compare it to the GT-R.

Also, this comparison is unfair from the beginning because they tested the M3 Coupe against the RS4 and C63, both of which are sedans.

I also would like to see this comparo, but instead of the M3 Coupe an M3 sedan and with the IS-F added in as well.

And speaking of the R32, SICK, did you check out the thread about one catching fire just sitting in the lot?

Two different R32's here, that is the VW R32, and Sick is talking about the early 90s Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32)

There might be some GT-Rs in your area, as some where legally shipped and sold in the US

Last I heard Cadillac was forgoing the 600hp V8 in the CTS-V and using the 505hp unit. The next XLR and STS are actually the ones slated to get the 600hp unit, which makes a lot more sense to me.

True, the present C-Class is all-new, but its predecessor was plagued with them, which is not a good omen. You can read about Mercedes and electrical problems from many different sources....too many for me to list here in detail.

3 great cars, depends if you like vanilla, strawberry or chocolate more.

Of those 3 I'd take the M3.

Today I saw a new 335i hard top convertible coupe in white - I don't even like most cars in white, and this was stunning.

It would help if the M3 Sedan was out. The M3 Sedan will not really be that much heavier and should offer similar performance if it's anything like the E90/E92 335i.

I know it's not out yet, but it will be out soon. Either way, it's not fair comparing a coupe to sedans. Performance will be similar, but not quite the same.

Well, if it will follow in the same footsteps as the last M3 sedan we had here, it will actually weigh less than the coupe. 1420kg for the sedan vs. 1440kg for the coupe. We all know that less weight equals better performance in ALL categories, something we can all welcome and agree with.
