SEMA: Buick Enclave Urban CEO Edition
We sat down with former NBA All-Star player Jerome Williams to talk about his new "Urban CEO Edition" Buick Enclave he's unveiling live here in Vegas later tonight. So here's the skinny -- Williams was approached by the General to help create this one-of-a-kind "Mad Dog" but according to him he "didn't have to do much to the 'clave, as it's already so fly." We do like one thing in particular about his blinded-by-the-white Buick and that's the low form-factor on the satellite dish atop the new Lambda crossover from the General. Not too shabby of an aftermarket job if you ask us -- you barely notice it. And hey, the brushed chrome doesn't look too bad either. Can we get it in black?

Those wheels look ready to snap.
I just noticed the fender vents on the Enclave are actually on the hood. Wow. Stupid. I hate fender vents like that anyway (ie: Quattroporte) Fender vents behind the wheel well are more subtle and tend to actually work. These ones are stupid looking, are in an unideal position on the car and probably don't do diddly.

Those "vents" are the classic "portholes" that hark back to 1947. Never functional, they were one of three styling cues that identified Buick since the '40's - the vertical grille "teeth", the "sweep spar" (horizontal chrome stripe about midway on the sides of the car), and the "portholes".

These items come and go with the years, but with the new emphasis on tradition, and the Harley Earl era of styling, look for Buick to keep them for a year or two before retiring them again.

I think the Enclave is a nice looking SUV, but that one could use a different set of wheels, a good drop and from what I've heard, they're somewhat underpowered, so it could probably use a supercharger.

I really thought that Buick would be dead by now just like Oldsmobile. The UAW would never go for it but I think that GM would be a lot better served for the future if they consolidated their product lines and concentrated on quality. Otherwise they are just building cars for rental car fleets. I wonder what MMarshall thinks about that.
