Even the Vibe version looks better; the lines are more creased, the design has PURPOSE.

Toyota, get with it.
in real life, there are surface lines to both cars... I wish they took a more interesting line with front of Matrix, more in tune with Auris (which looks really great upfront, aggressive), but I guess thats being built for American market.

Corolla sedan looks like mini-lexus, and thats what most of our customers say.

Thanks, Sieze.

The blue Corolla looks too much like the Yaris sedan, IMO.....but at least it doesn't have the idiotic center-mount gauges of the Echo, Yaris, and some of the Scions.

The center-dash and console design remind me of smaller Volvos.

I like the Corolla.

I like interior. It seems that Toyota let the Corolla be a more "worldwide' product than one that is built for the USA. I have really noticed the fit and finish especially where the doors meet the dash. I have not seen that in a while for a car.

The front end of the civic is really bland..
And the rear still looks tacky.

I'd take a civic over that.

Just like the Camry (and many other Toyota/Lexus models), I am not liking the bulging taillights. I much rather prefer the normal flatter-to-the-metal-panel look. Having the taillight lens stick out looks weird to me.

Looks like Toyota listened to Consumer Groups and didn't change a damn thing. Mind you, this is the same company that said they took the Corolla back to the drawing board to be more adventurous.

I mean, I wasn't expecting a beauty but the Mazda 3 owns this inside and out.

2.4L is pointless. 0-60 in 8.1 seconds is not much an improvement. Suck down more gasoline, please.

So Toyota basically took an extra year to dry up and shrink the Camry to rename it the Corolla. What a lush. This was the answer to the "fresh" look of the Civic? If this is what an extra year came up with, I couldn't imagine how it would have looked a year ago...

The 2.4L doesn't give up much gas to the 1.8L...worth the extra power IMO.

I'd rather be .4 seconds slower to 60 and get 40mpg on the hwy compared to 30. Wouldnt drive a Corolla to be fast.

I don't think they look that bad but I hate how the Toyota's logo placement on the hood. It reminds me so much of an Echo that it's almost irritating. They should have just integrated it into the grill. I guess the upside is when debadged, it will look pretty clean.
