They should just buy Camrys or Accords for undercover cars. They blend right in.

The Crown Vic was a great car... but I'm scared of its replacement.

We've had Chargers running all over the Auburn Hills/Oakland area for a while now... and believe me, they're hard to notice! Sterling Heights just got a few new undercover all-black 5.7 Hemi Chargers, and boy are they sneaky. Black wheels, dark black tint, black car, and the only way to tell it's a cop car is the license plate or the black spotlights. Even the pushbars on those cars are quite small.

Plus all the new ones are equipped with laser... so as you can imagine, I'm shaking in my boots right now.

Best way around that problem is to just to ease up on that right foot.

You won't have to shake so much.

even in LA, a lot of the smaller departments have at least one Charger in the stable (my city has one, and some of its surrounding cities)...but I haven't seen a LASD, LAPD, nor CHP Charger yet.

IIRC, Bloomfield Hills had only one or two Corvettes, and they were more for showing off than anything.

Almost all the flashy Jaguar and GM police cars you see at the Woodward Dream Cruise are just test-drive models from the local dealers for that weekend only. All they do is put lightbars and decals on those.

Dodge magnums and chargers are all over my area. They are black and under cover. I got pulled over by a black magnum and I was like WTF!!! Cheater's!!!! Thankfully I just got a warning. So watch out.

San Antonio is adding a fair number of Tahoe's to their undercover fleet, but I haven't seen them replacing the Crown Vics yet.

Florida is steadily moving over to the Impala as opposed to the Charger, at least in my area.

A new trend in NYC is a cop car disguised as a yellow taxi. All types of taxis, too. Crown Vics, SUVs, I even saw a yellow Odyssey taxi undercover cop car up in the bronx. lights are hidden in yellow cab roof display. Scared the crap out of me. Thank God for higher gas prices as that's what's really gotten me to slow down. I think of it as saving me $$ from speeding tickets!
