$80 fill-up
The other day I filled up and the car sucked down $80 worth of premium at $3.55 (I think). What I should mention is that I was trying to see how far I could go on empty and the car ended up stalling. I got it to the gas station with the tank totally empty and filled up to nearly all 22 gallons.
What is most you guys have spent on a full tank?

I just spent $ 61 to fill up. Got a little over 19 gallons at about 3.20 per gallon. You must be paying close to $ 4.00. Since all the refineries are right here in the east, we pay less than folks in the midwest and far west.
Gas is getting expensive again. I saw a moped the other day for $ 1,000 that I might get for short trips on warm days.

I just spent $66 dollars because the shutoff on the pump didn't work and who knows how much spilled out. Partly my fault because I put the cap in the handle to keep it pumping, which I always do, but it got stuck and I lost more gas trying to get it unstuck while the gas was rushing out. (Otherwise I would have demanded money back.) I'm hoping I didn't ruin anything (have heard of topping off flooding something or other). I bet the ethanol isn't good for the paint.

$70 was the most I filled on my my SC400 when the gas prices were really high here in Hawaii just after Katrina. During those months $60-$65 tank fill ups was the norm each week. Now, since prices has come down a bit I generally fill up about $50-$55 on the LS400 (I no longer have the SC400). I generally put in about 16 gallons.

A general rule of thumb for fuel-injected vehicles, especially for an older gas tank that may have dirt, contaminants, or moisture on the bottom, is not to let the gas level get below one-quarter (I never let mine get below one-third) for a number of reasons that can be harmful to the fuel system plumbing, filter, injectors, and and engine...plus the obvious hazards of getting stranded or causing an accident by having the engine stall. It also gives you a margin of safety for errors in the gas gauge or trip computer.

Close to $50 USD on gas here, goes about $3.80 a gallon now for Premium. However, one night while my uncle was painting my RX300, I took a friend's Ford truck to the track and filled up afterwards and it got up to about $70 USD on premium.

I just spoke to my best friend in England and he says it's now at least a pound a liter for gas there.
1 U.S. gallon is 3.8 liters, so that's 3.8 pounds thereabouts, or roughly $7.90 a gallon.
So your 22 gallon fill up in England would be about $174.
So cry me a river.

I sold my SUV I was so sick of filling her up. I made sure I got my money's worth on the last gas tank so it was almost totally on fumes for the next owner.
The two extra gears in my new manual are so much better than the 4 speed auto in my AWD RX300.
