Default SEMA 2007 : APS Twin-turbo's the C6 Z06 LS7 engine - 1100hp!!

The folks over at Air Power Systems decided the 505 horses of stock output from the Z06's LS7 engine just wasn't enough for them. So the turbo-lovin' young punks took the stock engine and developed themselves a twin turbocharger kit, which they claim brings the engine's output up to an amazing 1100 rear-wheel HP. Nice -- who needs to wait for the Detroit Auto Show and the reveal of the new supercharged 2009 Corvette ZR1 when you can build yourself an APS-engineered turbocharged Corvette Z06? Well, you won't get the neat-o see-through plastic hood.

DAMN!
...it's as if the power on the standard Z06 wasn't adequate.

I don't really know anything about forced induction but those turbos look mighty small to be prodcuing that much power.

That's pretty awesome, but I'd wait for the LS9... it will be far more boost friendly right out of the factory...

Those CAI are sick, but anything over like 800+ Hp can't even be used or controlled well by a normal driver. Yeah, it'll pull like 9 second with around 2.5 0-60, but who really needs that?

How do you get traction with 1100hp?

Yeah I saw this while at SEMA. Those turbos do indeed look small to produce 1100rwhp. Although the sign does say 650/1100RWHP, so I wonder if the range is 650 - 1100 rwhp depending on the turbos used.

i believe the the 650/1100RWHP would be the Hp band. Probably like 650 Hp at the low end and 1100 break. Torque isn't as good though, the turbos aren't spooled low end, but, they would spool fast because they are small.....
