Not all supra owners call on their own car. I just saw a thread where a guy titled his thread "bought new toys for the poopra".
Obviously its a small inside joke. There are a few supra guys i know who refer to their car as poopra from time to time.
Actually, no. "Poopra" was a derogatory term started by Supra haters, namely the Vette crowd. It is synonymous with the way that you would term import cars, Ricers. Unfortunately, just like that term, people with little clue of it's origins (even owners) started accepting it as a humerous terminology devoid of its initial basis. It's comical people think otherwise, sorta of like some of the racial slurs that ethnicities say to themselves. As previous owners of 2 Supra TT's, especially during the timeframe that Supras (and MKIV tech forums) got infamous (Vinny Ten / Craig Paisley era), i find it appalling.
Picus - Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't aware AA had an Xede solution also. Do you know what brand / model turbos the 335i uses, especially a/r?
You're right. It's originally a derogatory term, but hardly does anyone ever use certain words within their original context anymore. Sometimes people use words with a humor intent in mind, which is what I did. It's no different than a person referring Honda civics to being riced. Terms are used loosely nowadays. I'm surprised people are offended. I'm going to edit my post.
