Pretty impressive on stock internals, even if it's with 98 octane

You know as much as I love what Shiv did with the N54 I don't even think this is the first 400whp 335i. What do I mean? Well, the procede does offer a good bump in power, the numbers and the times don't seem to lineup. There are a number of posts with guys with JB2's or AA Xedes pulling on Procede'd 335is that *should* have more rwhp.

Anyway, it's good to have options. The Procede is definitely the most aggressive tune for better or worse.

While this sounds new, to be honest people did it with Supras over 15 years ago with BPU mods.

Both are I-6, both are TT, both made 300hp +.

So its really nothing new, just new to this car.

400 whp is pretty sick out a I-6. Still, i like the gobs of low end torque from American pushrod V-8s

i think it's a great acheivement honestly. Yes the supra engine can handle more power due to the cast iron block and closed deck design, but 400whp on an aluminum open deck block is still damn good. Just like the supra, the stock twins will be maxing out around 400-450whp. It's not set in stone, but dont expect to get much more power out of the turbos

No you're right; it's going to be very hard to get more than 450rwhp out of turbos the size of a cigarette pack. I think the tranny will go before the block, but people are going to need to put in larger turbos before we even get there.

I wonder what mods there will be for the M3, as in adding more power. B/C the 335 is the easy way to go here.

M3 is going to have a hell of a time trying to counter a 200 wtrq disadvantage from a modded 335

My last dyno was 361/380, I am happy with that. I need an LSD before I need more power.

Did you guys see the modded 335i vs M3 drags in Sweden that got posted on e90post? If not I can find them I think. There were some M5's, 997 turbos, m coupes, e55's etc.. In any event, the 335i pulled on the M3 by 10-12 car lengths, it had an AA xede and downpipes, IIRC. The M3 is not going to be able to make that up in a straight line without s/c or a turbo. On a track it may be different though.

^^^Yeah I saw that. I mean you take the badges off and do some subtle mods and you have an incredible sleeper.

Has anyone done this to the 535 yet?

BMW has a bit of a quandary here. They produced a car that eclipses their holy grail ///M car. IMO they should have stuck the 335 badge on an N/A car with no options and shot the 335iTT out as the M3 with all the trimmings.

I think some of the 535i guys have Xede's and Procedes, I am not sure anyone has downpipes or catbacks yet since I believe the design is slightly different.

just wondering, is there still that overheating issue going on with these chips?
especially running at 400whp on stock?
