I hope the hybrid badge isn't that big - that looks retarded.

I like how they never give out a mpg number besides "50% improvement".

People are getting sticker shock, in a different kind of way, at the moment after seeing all of these new 2008 EPA ratings. Thus manufacturers at the moment are using a lot of ways to avoid stating mileage while still stating mileage improvements.

They should have direct injected that engine. Would have made it more worthwhile.

Oh I didn't realize that the Tahoe hybrid has the same 6.0L that this Escalade does. Chevy says it only puts out 332 hp, will that be the same for the Escalade, cause thats quite a downgrade. Though I suppose that isnt the hybrid net power.

Towing. Toyota hasn't quite figured out HSD + Towing. Apparently the Two-Mode can tow (esp. since it has 3 clutches and a 4-spd auto).

MIA... just like GM's profitability.

Perhaps Lexus realizes that customers who are really interested
in a cleaner environment and better economy don't purchase
asphalt-crushing SUVs!

As for the utility argument...
How often do people tow, really? I've never seen an Escalade tow anything.
Heck, I rarely see them with more than one person in the vehicle
(usually on the cell phone, cutting me off).

Save it from what? Oil dependancy?

Not a bad move by Caddy, but I wonder if it even gets over 20mpg
