Interior is nice, the body is ok but the headlights are really busy. LED's usually clean up a design, I prefer the regular Escalade headlights.

rather buy an LX570. For some reason the front end in those pics looks cheapened compared to the last design

Interior is light years better than the 1st gen gm crap

Too bad they couldn't shrink the column shifter and use the bmw design

Lightbulb Escalade - Full LED Lamps

Cadillac Escalade Platinum - 1st w/ Full LED Lamps
Cadillac together with Hella has announced today that it will be launching the world’s first volume full-LED headlamp on its 2008 Cadillac Escalade Platinum edition. Unlike rival luxury brand Lexus, which offers single projector LED lamps on its LS600h flagship, Cadillac’s design uses the efficient diodes for the entire headlight assembly – indicators, low beam and high beam.

The benefits of LED headlamps are that they emit a greatly more precise light pattern, while emulating the characteristics of natural daylight much more closely than traditional auto lighting. They also use much less power and last more than 20 times longer than traditional halogen bulbs.

In addition to LED technology, the Escalade SUV also benefits from Magnetic Ride Control. The set-up is the world’s fastest reacting suspension system, managing to ‘read’ road conditions in a single millisecond and adjust the suspension stiffness to suit.

Power comes from a 403hp (301kW) 6.2L V8 with 565Nm (417lb-ft) of torque mated to a six-speed auto. It is an all-aluminum engine that uses variable valve timing (VVT) to optimize camshaft timing to improve low-rpm torque and high-rpm horsepower.

i've still yet to see the performance of LED headlights on a car...

although there are plenty of LS460s and 460Ls...not so many 600hLs....

has anybody seen the LED headlights in action? at night?

at the houston car show they had a LS600h with the headlights on, so I took a stare right in the beam, very bright. I've stared into HID and they werent this intense. Beam pattern on the floor was similar to HID.

Agreed. The last gen Denali was much better looking IMO.

As for the Escalade, I love it. I picked up a '07 Escalade last year (which quickly became my dad's daily driver after his Denali XL started having issues). Although I only drove it a couple months before it became my dad's, it was an amazing vehicle. The interior is quite nice and the power is very, very good.

But what I liked most about the Escalade was it's exterior design. It's a love it or hate it design...but at least you can't call it vanilla. Reliability wise, it's been fantastic. Build quailty has been much better than expected, no rattles in the cabin. Only issue has been with a side mirror that needed replacing.

As for the new LED headlamps, love the look
