Need a second car in addition to the IS350...
The IS350 is nice but I want to look into a weekend car for the track.
I am thinking of either the 350Z or S2000 and both have plenty of aftermarket support. I've decide to keep it NA instead of force induction.
Just wanna hear whats everyone's feedback and what are your thoughts

If you want it for the track, the S2000 is a beast. The torque lacks, but the car is light weight and has a very usable linear powerband. I used to have one and miss it a lot. It's so balanced as well, and limitless track-oriented mods you can do.
I am very good friends with my local shop A&J Racing, and they have a really fast S2000. Check it out.

I've friends with 911 Turbos that still keep the S2000 after they moved on to other higher-end cars just because the S2000 is just so fun and good for the money...

Well...having to drive the s2000 on many occassions, the lack of torque is not bothersome if you're going to keep it as a track car. You'll spend most of the time in the mid to high RPM where the s2000 shine. The gearing of the s2000 makes up for the low torque anyways. Also it depends on which s2k you get. The AP2 (8000 rpm redline) felt better in the city than the AP1 I drove, but either one will be great for the track. The 350z doesn't lack torque, but it's not lightweight compared to the s2000. Personally, I rather have lightweight cars because they are fun to toss around.
I'd choose the s2000 myself if I had the choice. I love the way the engine sings when you take it to redline. But that's just me..

Since you're a motorcycle guy, how about something like a T-Rex.
I would think that would have some sick handling, although the Kawi powerplant may be a huge turn-off for a Yamaha guy.
If you're trying to determine the Z vs. the S2k, I would *think* that the Z would be a better choice due to it being a coupe (assuming you're not looking at the vert model).
