Post Who DOESN'T have a curved C-pillar?

I mean seriously, its out of hand. The BMW Hoffmeister kink rape is out of control......notice its mostly luxury branded cars down there. Throw in the Mazda 3, the Nissan Altima/Maxima and a few others and wow, no originality.

Convertibles don't count?

I guess my Outback doesn't either.

Thanks, Uber.

I remarked in the Amanti review how classy I thought the overall styling was....although it was obviously taken from Mercedes, Lincoln, and Jaguar. You can see a strong last-gen Mercedes E-Class effect in the front end and the Lincoln Town Car and some Jaguars in the rear roofline, C-Pillar, trunk lid, and rear taillights.

Thing is, how many shapes can possibly be designed into that one corner?

There are three basic shapes: arced sraight back (like an Audi), downward like a Kia Amanti, or the Hoffmeister kink that angles forward. Everyone seems to be "copying" everyone but in fact there are just very limited possibilities.

Cadillac CTS...angles about, Art & Science design language. But you're right the curve C-pillar is commonplace.

Audis too, they just dip down in typical Audi rounded-out fashion.

Holfmeister kink is a genius design trait though. Really gives designs some momentum and places visual position of power over the rear wheels, giving some pounce-like stance.
