Yep. It's all leisure driving... cross-country, out of country, you name it. I'm a roadtrip addict.

It does have the actuated doors (only the two doors got that -- none of the sedans did) that self-close when you got them about 1/2" from being shut. I have to constantly remind people not to slam my doors. The trunk is not power assisted in any way.

One cool feature that this coupe has -- and something I still to this day don't see on many 2-doors -- is power rear windows. All four windows in this car go down.

Indeed. I'll give you a little history lesson since you brought it up .

The 2nd generation Acura Legend was produced from 1991 through 1995. The 1991 and 1992 Legends were available in coupe or sedan form with a 5-speed manual or an automatic. Starting in 1993, the coupe received a 30 hp boost in the powerplant (230 from 200) and the engine was named the TYPE II. The coupe also was made available offered a 6-speed manual transmission instead of the 5-speed that year.

The following year, in 1994, that same engine and transmission combination was offered in the four-door sedan. Those sedans were GS models. The TYPE I powerplant and 5-speed tranny were still available right up until the Legend was discontinued in 1995, but only in L/LS sedans.

A 93-95 LS coupe and a 94-95 GS sedan are essentially the same beast, just with a different number of doors. And both are getting really tough to find in decent shape.

Wow - that is one clean ride you got there.. I've always loved that style of Legend. I had no idea they went for that much $$! Of course they had that thing loaded up well - I don't recall too many cars with side airbags back in 1994.

Looks like it has another 300k in her no prob!

Oh yeah - and this is your BEATER??

I used to work at an Acura dealership when I was in high school....I always drooled over the Legend Coupes

I had a 1990 in college that my brother passed down to me....best car I ever owned...ooops, besides the GS (I have to say that, right? )

traded it in for the GS...

I just looked at it again...stunning

lol, well it's 14 years old and has driven to the moon. That alone qualifies it as one for most people. I still treat the car like it's new but I drive it daily.

My other car is even older... I have a 1991 Prelude Si 4WS (four wheel steering) 5-speed in red on black. Only 122,000 on it so far...

There's no rust on this car? Have you had this fixed or what?

I don't have a picture with me, but my Prelude was an '88. Yellow. I inherited it from my dad, but only drove it for a short time. Ours began rusting in '90 and my dad vowed to never get another Honda and he hasn't. I got rid of it for my first LGT when I was quoted $2000 to fix a catostrophic oil leak with a car that only had 70,000 miles. It was a sad day.

I was always impressed that the Legend had a 6MT back then. How many manufacturers had a 6MT in the early 90s?
The Subaru SVX was targeted at the AL Coupe, boasting more power and AWD. However, the designers failed to understand the concept of Americans preferring MTs in their sports coupes and it flopped.

That was 20 years ago. We used to live in southern Missouri. Little different than central PA.
