I need some info on wiring and specific check procedures (such as for the EIS, SAMS, and key fob) for my 99 CLK430 and I have never seen a site that gives me all the info I really need. Most are like a Haynes manual type info.
I need some deep and intensely detailed info to diagnose an issue. (voltage measurements, other tech info, connector details)
Would purchasing an ALLDATA subscription be worth it? I also see there are several forms of ALLDATA now. Just entering it in the google search comes up with several versions of ALLDATA and I dunno which one I'd use.

My friend who owns a 2000 civic SI bought the book manual that the engineers of the car put together 3rd party. He showed me it, it has every diagram and part breakdown you could ever need. He says it's the best money he has ever spent, it was expensive though. I would recommend that anyone who is into the whole "backyard mechanic" idea should invest money into a similar book.

There's also a competing service called Mitchell-On-Demand, which, like AllData, is widely used by independent service shops. Both, however, generally require a paid subscription service, although some auto parts stores offer a free temporary hookup while in the store as part of their customer service. I used the Mitchell service myself a couple of times at the old Trak Auto stores before they were bought out by Advance Auto parts.
