I have an Is350 too idiot. So I was askin for advice on their site also, just like I have it posted on Bimmerforums too. You mean to tell me i cant post my story on another forum ? What an idiot.

This person is gonna do it again, if set up an sting and trap the person to buy the car on surveillance, I think this is the only chance. Forget about FBI or any.... They ain't gonna do sh_t.

Whether it's wire fraud or not (there are valid arguments for both sides) the OP can be put through the ringer for fraud, have to retain legal counsel, and possibly get himself a nice criminal record in the process.

I agree with what most of the others her are saying, your 7k is likely gone forever. I'm no lawyer, but it sounds like technically you helped the guy avoid taxes, which I'm pretty sure is illegal to begin with. Going to the authorities could likely get you into even more trouble.

Well lawyers offices are closed on weekends. I talked to another legal friend and he says its a tough situation bc if I go to court it would look very fishy bc then I would have to say buyer says write a lower price so he wouldnt have to pay taxes on 28K. Then it looks like I defrauded the state of Illinois on taxes for him. He also says the Bill of Sale, and Title is a legal binding contract and will hold up in the court of law. But he said he couldnt handle the case right now, bc its too difficult.

If I understand your situation correctly, you wrote a bill of sale for $21K and had a verbal, side-agreement for an "additional" $7K, you were paid the $21K, and now you're looking to enforce the side-agreement. The fact that you have evidence of this additional agreement (the bounced check) may be of some significance. I would contact the U.S. Attorney and the State Attorney in Illinois and report this to them. Be honest, and tell them everything, if you do.

I just explained I have a 330CI, and Lex, and I posted this same topic on e46fanatics, bimmerforums, and clublex to get some advice. Why would I post bimmer info on a lexus site or vice versa on the bimmer site ? A Lexus Is350 cost more than a 330CI drop.
