Looks like the Odyssey might possibly overtake the Caravan as best-selling minivan. Pretty amazing.

The Camry continues to post strong sales numbers despite increasing competition. Prius sales continue to be phenomenal. Interesting that Corolla sales and Civic sales were roughly equal, despite the Civic being relatively new and the Corolla being so old and dated. Also add to the fact that factories are winding down 2008 Corolla production in preparation for 2009 Corolla production. This just shows how much of a great reputation the Corolla has.

Highlander sales were up compared to last November, and it looks like the Highlander critics on CL have dissapeared all of a sudden.

GS350 sales were up 19% and yes GS460/GS450h sales were up only 20 cars. Also of significance is that Infiniti M sales were down over 20%. Looks like the GS will win the sales title over the Infiniti M this year.

LS sales should remain strong as word continues to spread about the LS hybrid. It will have an increasing halo effect on LS sales in general. YTD LS sales are still way up.

As for the whole argument that Lexus sales are down and that only new Lexus models are supporting sales, ALL the Lexus sedans are up YTD with the exception of the GS. RX sales are only down a little bit and still remain strong. Same with the GX, even though both the RX and GX are quite dated. LX sales are down because the LX570 goes on sale in the next few weeks.

Lexus is still up YTD. It is shocking how much Acura has dropped YTD. Acura is definitely losing ground in the luxury market.
Good post. Lexus literally sells twice as many vehicles as Acura.
