0 to 60

G35/37: 5.2s to 6.2s
IS350: 4.9s to 6.0s

Well, there is the 0-60 mag racing in nutshell. Let's move on.

The 335i has the weird benefit of being designed with a retractable hardtop version in mind, so it has a longer rear overhang and deeper trunk. The 335i also has no spare. The cubic volume of the 335i's trunk is actually more than my old G35 *sedan*. Oh, and worth noting; with the 335i you can fold the rear seats down flat, not so with G37/G35.

To the guys bringing up MSRP, there is no doubt the G37 is a great value.
not sure about the g37, but the g35c rear seats do fold flat.

Great pics.. I thought the 0-60 time would be a lot better.

Why is everyone talking about the G35? It has nothing to do with the G37. The G35 whether sedan, or coupe have totally different chassis', transmissions, and engines. The older G35's of course came with the regular VQ35, now, the new G35 sedans come with the VQ35 that has daul intakes. The sedan is actually lighter than the G37 and the G37 comes with the new 3.7 liter engine hince the name...
Like the article says, the G37 weighs in at what 3650 or something like, its not the lightest coupe ever, haha. Im not saying the 6.2 is wrong, but its probably not much faster than that, probably a high 5 second 0-60..more like 5.8 or 5.9.
No matter what though, I think it looks good, and I would definitely pimp one.

Edit: I could be wrong about the chassis and transmission, the new G35 sedans and the G37 may share the same transmissions and chassis...maybe.

Fastest times I've seen for the G37 coupe:

6MT: 5.3s (C&D)
Auto: 5.4s (Motortrend)

U of course forget that b/c ur chariot cannot be slow.

OH NOES!!
Why are you being so defensive? I very much dislike bench & magazine racing, especially 0-60's, but I in no way ever bashed your posts in this thread

Second, I responded to a thread that had been revived by someone else after a month. And that someone else happened to be you. What am I suppose to do.. ignore it?

Slow starts happen all the time in 0-60 shootouts. There are so many factors in 0-60 that affect stats. Usually, people look for the best possible starts in runs, not the worst. Unless, ofcourse, that person is looking for some negative criticism (surprice, surprice ).

Here's a 6.1 second 0-60 run of an IS350 conducted by Edmunds. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=106607 You probably won't create a thread about this though.

You are right. There are always best times, worst times, and average times. But I hardly ever hear someone raving about "bad times" unless, once again, its negative criticism.

And as a matter of fact, I'm not a huge fan of the G37 Coupe. I would rather be driving a 335i than a G37 or IS350. You infered wrong

You also state you host drag events, but still use 0-60's as a form of measuring a car's performance? First time I've ever heard that from anyone who attends frequent drag racing events. The only "60" I ever pay attention is my 60-ft launch.

Please, be logical. I am not blinded by the fact that I drive an Infiniti G35 Coupe. I'm not loyal to any brand to the point where I start ignoring the facts.

search is my friend here and I found it......

I got behind a white '08 G37(s) today and I noticed a chrome strip on the back spoiler. The back end is bigger and wider than the original G35 after glancing at it for a minute at a stop light.

I really like what they did w/ the G37.

Since I have a SC430, I was wondering if the G37 or future design may have a hard-top convertible in store?

Since there's so many convertibles now across the board w/ all the other manufacturers out there, maybe Infiniti may hop on the bandwagon and may have plans for one.

P.S. I just scrolled and read "Picus" response on the convertible version so it looks like they may consider in their future plan(s)?

Just curious. Thanks...teeman3

I agree about this car, I sat in one in the dealership a few months back and I got to admit the car felt very very nice inside. Seating position was just right and the quality of the interior felt amazing. When popping the hood, I must say that it was one of the most cramped engine bays I've ever looked at. With the new dual intake system there was simply no room to work on anything. At the time the dealership had about 4-5 automatics and no 6speeds with brembos or anything else fancy, but I really liked the car and the new look. I'm yet to be sold on the rear but the front and side look amazing! BTW, thanks for posting those modded pics guys!

I never see these on the road. I think twice I've seen them. Or maybe they look too much like the G35coupe that I just don't notice them.

I'm a car nut and I can barely tell the difference with the 35/37 or Altima coupe out on the road. They come in the same colors and that doesn't help. I've seen quite a few Altima coupes recently...

I must say in black, I could do it...drop it, 20s...no badges...

Saw one of these in these in the parking lot at work and actually did a double-take. Walked a few more steps on saw the more familiar G35. They're both nice looking cars (especially with a nice set of wheels and a nice drop) but neither screams BUY ME for some reason.

I saw a G37 at school the other day; looked pretty nice, but I also have a tough time distinguishing Altima coupes and G35/G37s from a distance.

the G37s aren't selling as well as the G35s when they first came out IMO...

not to mention that the G35 had clean cut lines which helped in keeping a muscular, tight look. the G37 just seems like they took out the hard lines and "blurred" everything, almost looks bloated.

I pulled up behind one at a stop light yesterday and that's the first thing I noticed too - even before I noticed it was a G37. Of course, I think that chrome strip looks atrocious. Brand new, the temporary plate still had a month left.
