Just want to point to you that these are options and are not included in the 335.

$53k for the 335i is only going to happen if you get literally every single option you could possibly tack on to the car. I've yet to see one with a sticker that high, myself (well, short of the hard top convertible, of course). Mine stickered at 47k...

Anyhow I think I'd probably go S5 if I were buying, 335i if I were leasing. The S5 is just a more refined and beautiful all around car with not so great lease rates. The 335i is more fun to drive but less refined with great lease rates.

Well, IMO, it really depends what kind of driving experience you're looking to get out of it, because the S5 and 335i will exhibit much different handling characteristics. You've got the S5 on one side with a more-powerful, higher-torque engine with quattro, but is also much heavier (300lbs or so, I think?) and the typical Audi front-leaning weight balance. With the 335i you've got a much better weight distribution in combination with a lighter vehicle.

Personally, I am not a fan of the Audi philosophy of understeer. I haven't driven the S5, but I can't imagine I'd enjoy it based on Audis I have driven. Your decision should be based on what type of handling you prefer in your driving.

As for styling, I am actually not a fan of either coupe. I much prefer the sedan look on the 335i. :P

The A5/S5 has so much more road presence in my opinion. Looks beautiful in person. The 335 is definitely a driver car. The S5 is more luxurious an noticeably less sporty. Audi engineered the A5/S5 to be more luxurious and a comfortable cruiser rather than a sports coupe. It really depends on what you like more sport or comfort. Personally I'd go with the S5 if I had the choice.

So a more fair price comp would be 57000 vs 51000 oh and I forgot to add 1300 gas guzzler o.O for Audi
Gotchya. I think it'd help people vote if you priced them out the way you would actually buy them. I think the S5 looks amazing; but like my dads S4 it's very pricey for what you get (imo, of course).

S5 hands down.

I don't care if the car drives like a boat or whatever, there's nothing out there in its class that come close to S5 in terms of the look and road presence.

Oh and it sounds awesome too.

ive driven the s5 on the track and body roll is negligible. i would actually take the S5 over 335 price notwithstanding. s5 is just as quick (if not more if its damp) and has a much better interior bar none. the only reason you should get the bmw is if you want to mod the twin turbo. otherwise, the audi is a better car in every respect (except mpg).

Just for the looks I'd pick the S5. Saw it an auto show and really like both exterior and interior. The front looks very agressive.

The S5 just looks gorgeous to the 335. The interior is also worthy of the price, the 335 leaves my head scratching.

Performance, I am givin the edge to the BMW. However, I'm a V-8 kinda guy, the sound of one is just, OH YEAAAAHHH!!!!

This is if price is not the issue. The 335 would be considered a bargain, with a base price of 38k....

It's close, can't go wrong with either, but all things considered, I'd take the S5

S5! First off you won't see an S5 at every street light also the interior on the S5 is hotttttttttttttt. The S5 just came out so don't expect a crap load of mods to come out right away. Once again S5 FTW.

The Audi is just gorgeous. It carries a presence that screams for notice. The bmw is almost the exact opposite, its presence is smaller than it deserves, and it simply blends in with the mundane.
