Default I didn't know the last gen Camry was this quick?

So as a few of you might know, I'm trying to figure out what car I want to purchase in a few months...an '05/'06 Camry SE V6 or an '07 SE V6. In a nutshell, as much as I like the new Camry's exterior there are parts of it's interior that I cannot get over. While it's a bit plain inside, the '05/'06 SE V6 has an interior that is built to a completely different standard than the new car, and it's simple and straight forward and I like the orange lighting plus a few other features.

I went fishing around for 5th gen Camry videos on youtube and found these two:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7mZ6PsTke4

Um, by the look of these videos, the car snapped off a 0-60 in like 6 seconds or so...maybe 6.3 tops. I thought that seemed oddly quick so I messaged the guy who made the videos and he was really nice and said that his car is completely stock, the runs were made in ~70 degree weather on a pretty straight road.

I thought the older Camry was like 7.5 or so 0-60? If the car is really this quick, that's about on par with the current Camry which is impressive considering a 60hp advantage.

something isnt adding up. The new camry is significantly faster than the old one. Old one has 220? hp and 5 spd, new one has 270 6spd. Old camry v6 ~8.0 sec for 0-60 new ones 6.0 to low 6s

Yeah I think they usually run 0-60 in the 7.5ish second range and run the 1/4-mile in the high 15s to low 16s.

I'm going to guess that freeway on ramp he mentioned in his description was at a significant down hill angle.

Plus, the '07 SE V6 only picked up about 30 lbs over the older model.

I drove the V4 several times. And even that was fast.

Toyota has a good engine in the 3.5 V6. That size seems to be the standard these days. According to some recent comparos, their 3.5 seems to be a little quicker than the Honda and Nissan 3.5's. The 6 speed auto helps too. Better mileage also.

seems too quick. The last gen ones ran in the 7s at best.

The 3MZ-FE 3.3 litre VVT-i engine has 210hp under the new SAE.

I'll make a nice tasty treat out of a last gen V6 and a current 4 cyl Camry with my RX300, but a current gen V6 will hand me mi trasero en un plato sin problema.
