Do people in Japan call there cars JDM?
In Japan, do people refer to there cars as JDM, or just call them Domestic? What do people in Japan call American cars, ADM???? Do they call American cars "imports" over there?

JDM is a term coined in America to designate parts or cars used in Japan....the term has now been dragged and beat to death, where LED wiper nozzles are called JDM....
For instance a true right hand drive Toyota Aristo would be JDM. Aristo parts are JDM...
I am sure someone will chime in but I can't see people in Japan calling their cars JDM...

we call our cars as 国産車(kokusansha, domestic) vs 輸入車(yunyusha, imports). And yes, American cars are considered as import in Japan.
USDM is big in Japan though, ironically. I guess the grass is always on the other side.

EDM = European Domestic Market
so on so forth.
JDM doesn't refer to 'import'. After all, BMW, Mercedes, etc are all imports too, but they're not JDM because they did not originate from Japan.
Japanese people in their own country will call Toyota/Honda/Nissan domestic, because that's what they are in Japan. Look up what import and domestic means. Everything will make sense.
