After much debate, here is my new ride and pics: '06 Porsche Cayman S!
Hey guys,
So after selling my 350z a couple of years ago and riding around in an 01 Accord EX V6 for the time being, had the itch for a new car since im doing fairly well at work (knock on wood), dont expect any kids for the next couple of years and need a sporty ride to compensate for all the time i spend mopping for a new car to drive around with and care for.
Anyways, my three choices were the 335i cpe, the 08 corvette z51, Audi s5and the porsche cayman/boxster Ss. The 335i cpe is a beutiful ride inside and out and was a beutiful ride. Great acceleration and a beutiful ride thats got a perfect mix of luxury and sportiness. Much easier ride than the E46 M3, but with ample power. I think the best thing about this car is with the inexpensive modability on the TT engine ie Vishnu.
Second, the corvette has been one of my dream cars and I was hesitant before the new c6s as I was very concerned about the cheap interior and handling. The new C6 is lightyears ahead of past models, and the power is very addictive. The other big about this car is the targa top which i would love. However, it is a Chevy no matter wht and visitng a chevy dealer jst isnt the same as a BMW-Porsche. Also, the inside is still a bit holoow and plasticy.
The Audi s5 is prolly one of the most beutiful cars out now and was the nicest interior I have ever been in. The short of it is, it was too expensive (dealer markups), too bulky for wht im looking at, a bit underpowered, handling was a tad boatish and it wasnt trully what I was yearning for.
Enter, the Cayman S. From the very first test drive, i was amazed at the refinement, handling, power, practibility (!), and fun factor. I bought the Launch car with 19 Carrera classic rims, 18.7k mi, Bose, Xenons and the sport seats. I bought it from Carmax out the door for $47k and some change. The car is in mint condition and I have gooten very good results from the diagnostic tests performed by Porsche last week.
The only thing is, it is lowered on H & R sprins which are too rough for my tastes but look beutiful.
The car rides like its on rails, the power is more than ample, the finish is beutiful and the sound system is great. the only cons are gas mileage and some rattlkes from the back, but heay its a german sports car and is lowered ( rattles will go away once back to stock). Carmax is swapping the H & Rs with new OEM springs shocks and that should be this week. Otherise, here are some pics from my phone:

Holy crap... nice choice. There's just something about the look
of the Cayman that I really like.
Looks like you've already got 'er lowered... (it came that way, from what you said) Nice!
FWIW, you might want to ride in a stock Cayman S before swapping the springs back to stock; in my experience the H&Rs ride very close to stock, particularly when installed in Euroean cars. The Cayman is a performance car (particularly the "S" model), so it is certainly going to ride differently than your past cars. I don't think you'll see an appreciable gain in ride quality with switching back to OE springs.
We've done a few of these with 20s which look insane!
But those 19s look darned nice... hard to beat a simple,
clean 5-spoke!
Enjoy!

Congrats!
Don't put the car back to stock. It looks better lowered anyway. H&R is a good company and thats what all the euro guys use.
Just leave the H&R's on and get some nice wheels for it. People dont get Porsches for comfort its for the driving dynamics and overall feel of the car.
