Maybe, but look at the Mini Coopor. It seems to be fairly popular. I would never buy one myself, and I actually think the 135i (Although I still probably wouldn't but one) is a better over all car and less funky looking as well. Plus it has much more HP with a much better engine.

For me though the car is too small. If I were to get a 4-door car, it is for my family car, thus the 335i, GS350 sized cars. If I were to get myself my own car, it would be a 2-Door coupe anyway like the 335i Coupe, A5/S5, G37 or something. This car doesn't really appeal too me simply because it is a small 4-door. If it were a coupe, it might be different.

Yeah, you are sooo right. IMO, I think it's a really cool car and it's really not that small. Its about the same size as an E36 coupe from the nineties but it has different lines which makes the car appear smaller in size. I personally would have considered an 1 series when I bought my 335i because the 3 series is getting to be a little too big these days, loosing that small, fun little car appeal it used to have. To me, it's a great buy but you guys are right, it's a little too expensive but hey it's a German car built with German parts. We all know how much $$$ we loose when buying anything European these days b/c of the strong Euro.

Thumbs down

The only reason I would even think to buy a 135i is to save gas. But why pay so much for a car just to save gas when I can get a toyota/honda to do the same job for less then 1/2 the price.

I just don't see any point for this car, unless someone is a BMW enthusiast.

The 3, 5, 6, and 7 series are perfect for BMW's lineup along with the Z's and X's.

This 1 series will sell good for the first year but I think will die off by the 2nd and 3rd year. Just my opinion.

Yeah the 128 will do better then the 135 for sure. But I don't think they'll last too long.

The one thng we are all forgeting about concerning the 135i price is lease deals. If the lease deals are good, it will make the final price a lot more attractive than the 335i when its all said and done. I do believe the 128i will outsell the 135i just like how it does it in the 3 series and 5 series. Nothing new there.

How is the 135 underpowered?

It has awkward lines going every which way and makes no sense. I'd place it in the Pontiac Aztec category.

I'd easily choose a Toyota Yaris sedan over this. Seriously.

Owners better not go around with a proud "I have a Bimmer" attitude.
Yep!! Those body lines clash into this disgusting shape that is not pleasing at all.
