*pics* my friend's Porsche 911 in the snow

I really just drove in snow for the first major time this week while back up in Canada and our RWD Magnum RT is not much harder to drive than the Yukon XL. Anybody who says powerful RWD cars are impossible in snow has either never tried to learn how to do it safely, or an idiot.

I have a friend who was in Durango CO and skiing at Purgatory a few years ago. He was coming out of a convenience store and hears some kind of badass engine. He looks down the street, which has a bit of slush, and here comes a Lambo! I guess being AWD the owner decided it was a good car to go out and get a six pack at the same store my friend was at.

yeah the engine in the rear really helped to keep even the fat tires down on the ground and get enough traction out
i actually felt that it had more traction than my GS300 with all-season tires
also i had full faith in my friend
hes been driving porsches and pickup trucks in the snow for more than 30 years so not a big deal
he knows what he is doing

It's coming down again after we've had our Christmas brunch, made it home in time before the roads got too bad, but as I type, everything is covered in white when I look out the window, so we have a WHITE CHRISTMAS !!
...not
It better stop & gets warmer soon, hopefully with some warm rain to help wash the snow away, I don't want to spend Boxing Day shovelling snow off my driveway

Agreed. Driving a RWD car in snow only takes patience and experience. My SC300 was my daily driver for many years. I've driven in several blizzard conditions, an unplowed FDR and 3rd avenues, snow packed parking lots, etc. On summer tires, all-season, balding tires, etc. It takes experience, judgment, patience, skill, and lots of kitty litter. But very do-able.
But now that I bought my FJC, don't need the patience anymore!!! (just kidding everyone...)
