Toyota Hopes for a Million Annual Hybrid Sales
http://news.windingroad.com/car-buyi...ales-per-year/
Toyota is looking for hybrid sales to the tune of 1 million per year by the early 2010s. This means Toyota will be offering loads of new hybrid models in the coming years. In addition to new hybrid-only models, Toyota will have to offer a hybrid version of every vehicle it sells to reach the lofty target.
Since the introduction of the Prius in 1997, Toyota has only sold 1.25 million hybrids.
Toyota announced these plans, along with the goal of adding a hybrid version of each model to the fleet by 2020. Plug-in hybrids are also a large part of the strategy. Toyota is about to begin testing of plug-in hybrids around the world and Toyota President Katsuaki Watanabe thinks lithium ion batteries will make the cars commercially viable.

Does this include a line of cars designed based on the Prius, that has been rumored?
Does this include the Subaru equipped with Toyota's hybrid Synergy drive that is exepected in the 2010 MY?
