I agree with you Doug. A Lexus owner won't miss it, most are simply not enthusiasts. BMW has a much higher enthusiast ratio, thus they would want a dipstick.

To me, its just trying to delay the inevitable. Computers doing everything in the car.

My point exactly. That dipstick was brought back for a reason. Computers are not the answer to everything.
