Is a Lexus right for me?

With that budget, why would you want to buy a car that already has 100M miles on it? Why not look for a newer Honda/Toyota with much fewer miles. While it's true that today's cars, especially Japanese cars, can go for a long time, 100M-150M miles is a lot. How many 94-95 GS300s to you see on the road?

I agree with most of the comments above.
My brother has a '94 GS300 that has quite a few miles on it, but has been meticulously maintained; it is still a fantastic car, and as far as I am concerned, the best looking GS body style so far.
Don't forget, these cars were expensive to purchase new, so if you can find a nice one-owner car you may luck out and get a real cream puff. The small niggling problems the 1GS has don't significantly affect its' reliability and are more annoyances than anything else.
I will say that with your budget of about $6K finding a clean used BMW that doesn't have significant current or future maintenance needs is just about impossible. A power window regulator for a 5-series is $900 + labor (for example), so buyer beware.
