Saw 2 accidents New Years night
#16
I once had an acquaintance years back that got a DUI because the kids at In N Out called the cops on him. Never know what could have happened if that call was not made and he was not pulled over. There could be a family living there lives right now that perhaps would not be here for not that phone call.

This is why I don't drive around or even go out at all on New Year's anymore. It's just such a mess with all the crazy party-goers and drunk drivers everywhere. It's so much safer just to stay in.
Living in Vegas, even on weekends I drive extremely carefully, make sure to stay at a very conservative speed, and look both ways before moving when I'm stopped and the light goes green. I've been nearly run off the highway a few times here. For all the police and highway patrol talk about cracking down on drunk drivers, they need to do a better job of it.

The party I was attending was on 95th and Riverside on the UWS Manhattan. We were all having fun, music blasting, and everyone dancing. All of a sudden, WHAM, then BAM, then a couple more. We were all stunned. We looked out and there was what looked like a 10 car pile up right on front of their building. It's one night of the year that I don't mind the expensive cab ride out to the suburbs and I'm very happy I did not drive. Didn't have to worry about getting drunk...

Yes, things ARE handled differently today.........and that is one of the reasons this kind of stuff continues to happen, over and over again.
