Keep in mind that the factory times of German cars tend to be underrated. If the factory claims 6.2 seconds then in reality we can even expect something like 5.9 seconds.

Look at the old E55 AMG for example. Mercedes constantly claimed a 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds and various magazines were getting as low as 4.2 seconds. Same deal with the old BMW M3 (3.2-l inline 6) which was rated I believe at 6.0 seconds and actually clocked as low as 5.6 seconds if memory serves me right.

Look at the IS-F. Lexus gave a figure and magazines are actually getting quicker times.

Well yeah, we know that from the RX400h. Much faster than Lexus claims. Nevertheless, that doesn't change this discussion. That just says that both the 325i and 335d could be faster than BMW claims. There's no firsthand testimony stating that one is faster than the other in contrast to factory claims.

And my original question was answered elsewhere. Apprently, the adblue system only lets you start the car a certain number of times once the tank has run dry. Thus, you would have to go to your dealer to get it replenished before you have to have it towed there (Im hope there is some kind of overide BMW could do if they came to pick it up).

Yeah its a Topgear. The 545i (not the 550i) was quite a bit faster than the 535d.
