Auto Loans for Older Cars

You are looking at 60-70% financing of the asking price and a nice chunk down payment if you find anyone that will do it. Most notes are put on 24 months for older vehicles so the payment can be quite high.

I was recently helping a friend with this.
USAlliance Credit Union will offer auto loans on vehicles as old as 1997.

They still allow for 60mo. notes (I think even 72mo.) and the interest rate is competitve with new vehicles (6%ish). The down payment required is modest assuming a clean history/beacon score.

"Old" meaning a car from the 90s. I have been thinking about buy another car to play with. Like a 96-98 Mustang Cobra. My credit union will only finance a car as far back as 2001.
