I think Alfa Romeo coming out with an SUV, I wonder of Ferrari going to use that platform for this or they going to use something already got.
Thing is, it looks more like a crossover SUV then an SUV.

Didn't Enzo Ferrari only start selling cars to the public to fund his racing division? I thought that his only real passion was racing, and he started sell street legal cars to fund his activities.
Even today, as I understand it, Ferrari spends most of its money on its F1 team, and they sell street cars to fund it.
If that's true.. well then they're not selling out They're just adapting to the times.
I'd still rather see a 5 door sedan before an SUV though!

If they make an SUV I will loose a ton of respect for Ferrari, there is no reason for them to do this other then just trying to cash in a fading market. Ferraris are supposed to be light nimble high revving cars and a big heavy SUV goes against everything Ferrari. I did not mind Porsche doing it because Porsche was involved in the Dacar rally back in the 80's which had 911/959 pretty much turned into offroad SUVs and a SUV is not a huge step from some of the things they made and would allow them more money to make different models. Ferrari just said they were going to focus on light weight more instead of horsepower to get performance and now they are thinking of making a overweight SUV, that makes alot of sense. Also Ferrari said they would not do a model below the F430 with a smaller v8 or 6 cylinder because it would "dilute" the brand and image and they wanted to remain exclusive and did not want to sell large numbers of cars. I would much rather see a 6 cylinder Ferrari for like 90-120K then some big overweight goofy SUV.
