Finally someone gets it in terms of providing all the audio input options.

Default Genesis Pricing Sheet: 41K for 4.6 Liter

I dont know if this is for real, but it was on autospies, kinda interesting. In a way, its cheap, but I dont think i would pay that much for a hyundai

Hm, cheaper than I expected, but authenticity is in question. How come no pricing for the 3.3L?

If true, a Genesis 4.6 w/ Tech is $18,000-$20,000 cheaper than a similarly equipped GS460.

And a Genesis 3.8 w/ Tech is $14,000-$16,000 cheaper than a similarly equipped GS350.

I think realistically this is about what was expected. The fully loaded 4.6L V8 most thought would be over $40K. I'm willing to bet you would be able to get a fully loaded one for under $40K street price though.

The Approx. part of it throws me off a bit though. That is a pretty large gap in price. If they actually could get a fully loaded V8 to MSRP at the $39,500 price that would be very attractive.

hmm perhaps hyundai is throwing this out there to monitor reaction. Im guessing they want to see how people would react to it surpassing 40K and into the "premium" market. if the reaction is bad, then i think they will stick with 39K

That's about the price of a fully loaded Avalon. If people pay that much for a Toyota, why not a Hyundai?

IMO, the Genesis will hurt Avalon/Maxima sales a lot more than GS/M sales.

The pricing is pretty close to that of a comparably equiped 300
C, which would seem to be the closest competition.

It appears to me that Hyundai used the LS430 as the target for this car. It's dimensions are very close to those of an LS430, not a GS430/460. If it drives like an LS430 and has decent reliability, I think the marketplace will see it as a real bargain.

I actually like a LOT of wood in a car....

When you use wood, you have to use it in the right places and not everywhere.

All badging in the United States will be of the Hyundai badge.

This may NOT succeed. It may rust on dealer lots.

And in 2 years, you can get a car built to compete with 60k cars for 20k.

Like the Q45 or last gen M45 or Phaeton. It could happen and some used car buyers will love it.
I think this car looks too good to fail. But that's just my opinion.

Perhaps they won't sell that in the U.S. so as to leave 'room' for Azera.

I don't think very many people will be shelling out 40k for a Hyundai but I could be wrong. Maybe some proud Koreans?
