what the hell is with the blue circles in the speedo & tach - that trend is annoying as hell
also, they got the manual shift wrong like so many others, should be forward to downshift and back to upshift

looks nice, tho

As to the base - if you think it will be cheaper than Azera - awesome.
The LS430 had it for 2004. Ditto the RL.

Hmm, those PS pics look pretty good! I like the one with the Jaguar grille.

My guess is this car prices $5K-$7K under the corresponding Lexus car (base MSRP to base MSRP) but will have to offer more things as standard

If anything I think Hyundai has positioned itself as a cheaper Toyota (or tried to) so this car is a real departure from Hyundai products to date.

This design is markedly better than anything else Hyundai has done to date. The big unknown is how it drives (i.e. will it get any love from Euro sedan buyers/shoppers)

Hyundai comes out with V8 before Acura does.

Good job!

It is a Genesis so I am guessing it will be a start to Hyundai's Luxury line.
I think it looks pretty good for their intro model out of the gates.
Remember how crappy and plain the first Lexus ES looked like?

I'm looking to get into cheaper cars since I'm within a few years of rebuilding the house on my dads property. I was thinking of moving down to an Avalon, Camry, Accord, or on the higher end a G35S for mid $30K. Perhaps this car might be the best choice yet.

I thought the car looked nice inside and out, but wasn't sure if I could drive a Hyundai just yet. After seeing the photoshop pics and the specs I think I'm ready to jump into a Hyundai Man, I don't care how this car drives as I'm probably goint to bag it and put some 20" or 21" rims (Depending on how large the car really looks in person) on it anyway. The great thing about a car like this is it can be the perfect daily driver. Right now I have a bone stock old cheap Camry for a DD and drive the Lexus and BMW on other occations. Can you image instead of buying an Accord or Camry for a daily beater, for a little more money you can buy this Hyundai, still save gas because it runs on regular, the car looks great, has lots of power, more than likely will have a very long warrantee which are all perfect for daily drivers.

I could actually see two Hyndai's in my garage. This one and the Hyundai Coupe we talked about a few months ago.

PS, you guys don't like the front grill? I actually like it. I really like the front end a lot. This car is pretty hot IMHO.

I almost hate to say this, but, why can't Honda build something that looks that good? I mean, if this were the new Accord (albeit, a bit smaller) Honda would have no problem outselling the Camry.

I still think it looks too much like the Azera but larger and RWD.
Are the dimensions closer to 5/E/GS class? Or is it more of a 7/S/LS competitor?

AWD is great for handling but will yield bad gas mileage not to mention it slows down the acceleration at highway speeds. Most people don't need it. It will be nice if they offer AWD as an option.

Many AWD systems have a rear wheel bias with the ability to transfer power to the front wheels. So they don't have to yield bad gas mileage (except for extra weight). And AWD isn't actually better for handling, it's better for traction, this is a mistake many people make when buying an AWD vehicle.
