I have seen other spy pics of the E-Class interior and ya, this is real.

If you don't believe it or don't think it fits in with the rest of the Mercedes interior, take a look at the new GLK interior.

And yeah, it's pretty atrocious.

IMO this, if true, represents the unfortunate continuation of the negative aspects of the new C-Class interior, while ignoring a better design such as found in the S-Class.

Looks terrible. The E class out now has a very nice elegant interior, one of the best in its class which is one reason it sells so well but for some reason MB needs to completely change it and screw it up and make it look like other new MB interiors that are not very attractive. I am sure the new SL is going to be getting a hideous interior compared to the current one which is pretty nice. BMW did this with the current 5 series making its interior look dull and cheap compared to the previous 5 series that had a much nicer interior. It will still sell in droves despite the ugly interior and horrible reliability because it is a Mercedes E class and to many that is all that matters no matter how good or bad the car is.
