iv been wondering, how do they ship cars? like do they put them in giant crates and how do they move them? do they turn on the car and move it or what.

They are driven onto a boat and tied down. Obviously they can move around a bit under unusual circumstances, ie the sinking of the MV Tricolor a few years ago.

Dealers are going to mark up the M3's even more now. I wouldn't touch any M3's this year. Since when do dealers disclose anything they don't have to, someone is going to get a car that just isn't right, maybe it will never have a straight body panel gap, maybe the paint isn't a perfect match.
