I love the sunset orange color of my car but yellow is great too. I agree, a sports car doesn't look right in black or silver (actually I don't think any car looks good in silver), but some do look great in white
Yellow was so done by the boy-racer set after the factory 'Vette racing effort a few years ago, I thought I'd never want to see another yellow sports car. My much-loved Opel Manta Rallye was "citrus yellow" (often wondered why GM, the US distributor, didn't nix that name), and I've loved the color ever since. The old classic "racing" colors are still good - British Green, French Blue, Italian Red, German Silver, Swiss White, Spanish Yellow. Things started getting a little complicated with as the GP market expanded - with the US, Japan, and other nations having to rely on stripes or spots to designate their cars. Like racing silks, those colors represent a heritage. Who can imagine a Ferrari in anything but blood red, a Bugatti in anything but blue, a Bentley in anything but BRG? Homage to the marque, gentlemen.
