I'm impressed. The M3 is much faster than what I expected. A 0-60 time of 4.1 is no joke. The fact that its acceleration is similar to that of it's bigger brothers shows how incredible this machine really is.
We all thought the M3 was going to be blown out of the water by the 335i. Doesn't seem so dramatic anymore. Stock for stock, the M3 takes the 335i and with mods, the 335i is only slightly faster than the M3 (this is going from the video of the 335i with the Procede V.2 that edges out the two M5's).

Actually, I take back a part of my previous post. I actually just saw a couple of videos posted on youtube with a 335i (procede V2) vs. the E92 M3 and they were either equal or the M3 edged the 335i out. Now, this could be because of driver error but nonetheless, the M3 is not to be taken lightly.

The inevitable M3 vs. IS-F comparos will be interesting.

The v10's in the M5 and M6 are severely detuned. Its not cheap to mod them but headers, pulley's, intake, exhaust, software take these cars into the stratosphere (over 200mph EASY)
I'm not sure the e92 M3 would have similar responses to these mods, BUT, I'd love to see!

All 3 are superb and continue to improve with performance, even as they gain weight.
The amazing thing is EVO didn't pick any for the top M cars of all time (new M3 got a pass b/c it was new). I need to post that up...

The prices came out from BMW about two days saying that the E90 Sedan M3 would start at $54K and the E92 coupe at $57K. I think those are excellent bargains compared to its V10 siblings and plus you get the same or better acceleration times as the M5! (but if I had to pick one if money wasnt a factor then it would be the M5 of course...)
