Banged the needle on my old GS400 and I have done the same on my GS3.

I also drove from Bremen, Germany to Warsaw,Poland banging the hell out of the needle in the rental I had on the autobahn.

Hehe...

159mph in a 1998 LS400 -Goverened(Was a pretty quick shot)
141mph in a 2002 Lincoln LSV8 sport -Goverened(took it years to get there)

my 1999 LS400 seems to not be governed...but that's all I'll say.

Done both of these this on the same stretch of I-75. Keep in mind that I didn't do this around cars, I just know of a deadzone on the highway in KY that is good for it. I wouldn't recommend doing something like that unless you are comfortable with it and KNOW you can handle it and the conditions are right.

I've slowed down much much since my younger days though.

Did 150ish mph in my old 95 Integra GS-R sedan with supercharger. This was on highway 10 from Phoenix to LA back in the winter of 2001.

This is more like it! I'm reading all these posts and thought I'd see way higher numbers.

In my 1996 T-bird V8 - 105 governed (pathetic!)
In my 2002 Maxima - 130mph indicated (wife got mad, it had more!)
In my 1999 LS400 - 110mph indicated (hey, she has 140k miles on it.. not about to test the limits)

On my 1999 Suzuki Bandit 1200 - 140+ indicated, 130mph cert. on GPS. If you know this bike, it's no GSX-R - meaning there isn't much wind protection..(see pic in sig)

When I'm on the bike during the riding season, it usually sees 100mph on almost every occasion while I'm out for at least a small time. Lots of backroads and cars to be passed...

85-90....and usually slower then that. I'm conservative, usually stay within 10 MPH or so of the posted limits, and so avoid tickets.....and high insurance bills Haven't gotten a actual speeding ticket yet in 40 years of driving, and only one warning...in Rock Creek Park in D.C. with my old 1984 Mazda, for 37 in a 25 zone.
