100 for a few secs in my 99 LS (really unstable)... crappy R rated tires (Cooper LifeLiners!) the dealership put on! hey they were brand new and ride quiet!! woohoo.
135 (indicated) on my old 86 Prelude SI going down a long rolling straight mountain road at 7am on the way to a computer show back in 1998 or so. Boy was that nutz!
140+ a couple times in my 96 GS.
Shouldnt have done it the second time, but when your already going 120 and there are no other cars around..may as well keep going.
My little 323i has been up to its theoretical maximum of 158mph (where it runs out of both gearing and the power to overcome air resistance simultaneously--no need for a governor) once while I was on vacation in Canada, driving through the completely vacant countryside on a recently re-paved road. Solid as a rock too. Drives exactly the same as it does at 58mph, except with a 100x increase in wind noise. Really gotta hammer the brakes to get down to 50km/h (30mph) when you come up on a town though.
.
Dude, aren't those towns like a gas station and a stoplight?? lol just keep it hammered, blow the guy over whos sitting in his rocking chair.
