Platnium is only 10% of Sequoia sales - so this is why you dont have seating options...

But there are bunch of options you can get for limited:
- DVD Nav/ JBL
- 20" wheels
- power rear hatch
- rear spoiler
- rear dvd entertainment
- Moonroof

Why not just get a new Escalade, if your buying this/these vehicles new then your not hurting for money and the gas bill is probably equal to the car payment, I would go with a GMC Yukon Denali,

There are plenty of new Toyota/Lexus vehicles in my circle of family and friends and they have lost the Toyotaness they use to have, new they look great but after that they have nothing and they are just not worth paying the extra for anymore.

Most of the new Sequoia is ok but can you get used to looking at that dashboard? It's frightening. Looks like something from an old Saab.

Are base Sienna's 8 passenger? you'd need a bench in the middle to get 8 passenger seating, making it more difficult to access the 3rd row of seats, especially if you have child seats in the middle row. I have a Honda Pilot, which is 8 pass seat 2 front, 3 middle and 3 rear, and getting to the 3 in the rear would have been a major pain in the a$$ before my oldest son moved to a booster seat instead of a conventional car seat. If I had 3 kids, and that was the set up of the Sienna, I'd never buy it with the bench in the middle. I thought minivans had the 2 middle captain's chairs so it's easy to access the back.

...you are right ...I already own a new 2007 Cadillac Escalade with I just Lemon Lawed.

you want to find out the Quality in American Vehicles ...take a look below.

I owned a 2002 Lexus LS430 which was the best. Now that the Escalade is going back to GM .... I am back to my love with Toyota and Lexus.

QUALITY .... means everything.
And American Automakers just don't understand that.

Hi All,

I have had it with problems with my 2007 Escalade.

It's been in repair for so many issues including but not limited to:

Safety System Failures:
• Stabilitrack Failure
• Traction Control Failure
• Air Bag Sensor Failure

Mechanical Failures:
• Transmission – Replaced early this year.
• Replacement Transmission needed repair – Failed Valve Assembly (few months ago)
• Engine Noise from Belt – System Lubed
• 2nd Repair Engine Noise from Belt – Belt Tensioner replaced
• Navigation – Failed during a business trip leaving me lost in Riverside.
• Air-Conditioner – Failed during the 100 degree heat wave.
• 1st key fab stopped working – Leaving my wife stranded at the Thousand Oaks mall
• 2nd key fab failed working – Leaving me stranded at work
• Navigation enture unit replaced 3 times in 1 year due to failure and screen lockup.

Other Hardware Failures & Quality Issues:
• Excessive wind noise from both front doors – Requiring 2 different repairs.
• Outer Door Trim warped during Memorial Day Weekend.
• Electrical Wiring near door trip floorboard exposed on 3 sides on initial purchase.
• 3rd row back seat panel loose
• Trim around Radio was scratched
• “Cut” in leather seat on second row.

I tried talking to my dealerhsip about "Lemon Law buy back", but my dealership does not think my problems are enough to qualify for a buy back.

I just hired an attorney who is saying that my "Lemon Law" case is a slam dunk based on the numerous repairs I have had.

I'll keep everyone posted.
Looks like the buyback will be "Backed mileage" to 18,000 miles (or possible 22,000 miles) when the original tranny problem occured.

Thanks,
UZY

Wow, Viper, that's terrible. My neighbor has *two* Escalades and loves them. No problems.

I have actually heard that GM has had a good number of problems with their 6AT in the full size SUVs dropping gears and slipping, but somehow it has gone relatively unpublicized.

Supposedly Escalades have also had a bit if a wind noise issue as well.

*EDIT* I didn't read all of your post and see that you actually did have wind noise. I guess that confirms it.

Only 7 passenger versions have a 2nd row bench seat.

You're saying you want a 3+2+3 arrangement? Isn't that hard to find cause most prefer a 2+3+3 arrangement.

Also I believe the Sienna CE is available in both 7 and 8 passenger versions. The centre 2nd row seat can be moved forward.
