Wink The Lifan 3-Series ...

Chinese Mini -

Lifan clone Mini… But at the 5-door!

When you had submitted projects secrets Lifan, most of you ricanaient to the poor quality of the drawings. It is clear that model after model, Lifan from theory to practice. Today, introduced the Lifan 320, a clone of Mini, but at 5-door.

At the end of 90 years, BMW had thought of producing the Mini in Brazil. The plant is out of land, but a priori, no Mini "made in Brazil" is never leaving the factory. Lifan has taken over the site, in order to move to China. The Brazilian state objected, but was able Lifan get their hands on a number of plans and tools of the New Mini 1.

And why 5-door ? Because the Chinese do not like the 3-door too. Hence this adaptation by Lifan.

seriously these Chinese manufacturers are 'ripping' the real, brand name car companies off big time with their horrendous attempts at copying other companies' cars. But I have to admit that many of the people purchasing these cars don't have the money to buy the real thing so one can say it's no real threat to the big car companies.

That first photo makes it look almost like a dwarfed Cayenne.

It was you in the other thread that said Mercedes blatantly copied their dash from Jaguar. So I guess the chinese think like Mercedes too eh?

Hyundai doesn't straight out copy other makers' designs. They may adapt design cues from other cars but be honest with yourself; what car maker doesn't? Especially a car maker that was starting to emerge as a worthy carmaker in the market?

Lexus/Toyota did it, Honda/Acura did it, Nissan/Infiniti did it, etc. Before a car company can introduce radical new designs and concepts into the market, they have to establish themselves in the market. For a fledgling car company like Hyundai, it's something they have to do. But hey, they did one hell of a job. Especially with the new Genesis.
