James May did say that the XF drives like a 4-door XK....

and if he can attest to the driving dynamics--I'm sure autocar was also thrilled

I won't totally doubt it. Jags in reviews have gotten very good reviews for handling with the newer cars. The aluminum chassis and good steering is a good mix. The cars keep getting dumped on though for OLLLLLD engines. The chassis could use more power.

If you read reviews, the 5 is still on the sport side but its bigger, heavier and more complicated than ever. In some reviews the M35/45 handled just as good if not better.

As Andrew stated, they are usually biased but I can see this possibly happening. Euro mags are not really smitten with the new BMWs like the older more involving ones.
